Repairs
Make an enquiryRepairs can be anything from a missing eye/s replaced, a broken seam, a missing or broken foot pad/s, damaged paws, replacement joints, arms off or a broken head… you name it we’ve probably seen it! Floppy heads are often due to stuffing compacting, so a ‘top-up’ can be done to stabilise.

Cleaning / Refilling
Make an enquiryWe clean modern and vintage toys daily - these can often be booked quite quickly in between our more complex work. Years of cuddling and hugs take their toll and teddy can harbour quite a lot of dust and bacteria…
A good clean can help any teddy/toy to last a lot more years and reduce further damage to their fabric.

Restoration
Make an enquiryRestoration helps your cherished Teddy to become the best version of their former self - not new - but sympathetically bought back to life, keeping their character and charm intact.
They are completed lovingly by hand using materials and traditional methods (such as darning) as they would have had when they were made.
Welcome to Davey Bears
Davey Bears Toy Hospital in Cornwall helps Teddy Bears and Soft Toys of all ages - vintage and modern from all over the UK. We have our Spa where we offer cleaning + re-filling, and in the main hospital we have our busy workshop completing repairs and full restorations.
We also have many gorgeous Teddies in our Shop if you would like to add another friend to your hug!
Before any restoration work starts, they have a full assessment which includes finding out about their maker and their history so they keep their all important character intact and we give them the most sympathetic restoration possible.
I work from home in the beautiful county of Cornwall.

Angie is extremely knowledgeable and talented. She patiently explained the options for my 59 year old bear. I know a huge amount of research went into finding a colour match for the fabric. That's before the painstaking work started to clean and repair him. The result is outstanding and I am very grateful. I highly recommend Davey Bears.
